Montrichard is well located for visiting the surrounding area and the chateaux, The town had all that was needed and was a typical French town with plenty of cafes. Everyone we encountered were friendly and helpful. It is only a 5 minute walk into town so no need to take the car. A pretty medieval town, with plenty of shops and restaurants...
A pretty medieval town, with plenty of shops and restaurants. The river Cher runs through the town and there's a river beach with facilities. We had a person who was in a wheelchair and the front entrance was locked at 10am. We were locked in and no one told us that it would be locked till 5pm.
