There was much to see and visit. Wonderful art nouveau pieces, lovely parks and squares and helpful people. It was very easy to walk around the city, but it was worth getting the city pass that gives entry to various museums and free transport around the city. Musee des Beaux Arts is great, especially for native son Emile Friant. The Art Nouveau houses - Villa Majorelle and Musee de l"'Ecole de Nancy - are totally worth visiting. The hotels in Nancy had limited availability, due to the World Cup of Rugby. It is not a facility that is immediately noticed, but despite that, they have a great location. Also, they do have an "apartment" feel to them......there is a kitchen, with dishes and utensils, and also a refrigerator. And is also reasonably priced.
