    We loved the location, although it is remote.

    We loved the location, although it is remote. Some people may not enjoy how remote it is. There is a dirt road to the property which may unnerve some people. There are lots of lovely French villages to explore.

    My stay in this beautiful historic French house was an...

    My stay in this beautiful historic French house was an absolutely delightful experience. The rooms were very spacious, light filled and airy with beautifully appointed bed linen. The interior decor of this historic house has been tastefully renovated. I awoke in the morning to the beautiful vista of the historic village square with the backdrop of the rolling hills and country woodlands visible through the French windows in my room. Colourful flowers bloomed from planter boxes outside each window. I loved the attention to detail which made my stay in this property extra special. And our host added many thoughtful extra touches by providing tea and coffee and a kettle in the room and the microwave and coffee machine in the guest lounge was an extra bonus. All of this was provided at an amazing value. There was plenty of parking available and once here I did not need to use my car as everything was within walking distance. The Relax au Coeur du Morvan property was in the centre of the Ouroux village, very close to restaurants, cafes, bakery, supermarket, the local cinema and leisurely walks through the rambling country lanes and around the nearby lake. I enjoyed this property very much and would definitely like to stay here again. I highly recommend this exceptional quality and excellent value property.

    I had a lovely stay at Relax au Coeur du Morvan. The room was spacious and light filled with a clean bathroom, mini fridge, and generously included tea and coffee supplies. I was also lucky enough to be visiting Ouroux on a market day (every Sunday) with the stalls located around the town centre. The prime location of the accomodation is perfect as you can walk straight out of the front door into the market area and treat yourself to some wonderful goodies from the local vendors.

    As soon as we approached the hotel, the owner came out and directed us to park our motorcycles at the car port thru the gate at the back of the hotel. We had dinner at this family run hotel. I enjoyed my hamburger and we had a few beers and spirits. Very good breakfast. We had two en-suite rooms on the top floor. Room had a fan which is nice considering how warm the weather was. The hosts including their young son looked after us and I would come and stay here again.

    A well run family hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent evening meal and a good breakfast. The hotel is situated in a very quiet town and I enjoyed eating my evening meal in the square. Im sure I'll returning hopefully have a longer stay.

    It's just a very nice former hotel with a great historic atmosphere, tastefully decorated, and an exceptionally friendly host. The breakfast they serve alone is worthwhile the visit!
