Pontivy is a pleasant town, ideally located for a stopover if you are travelling along the Nantes Brest Canal. The architecture is very charming, a mix of Napoleonic and medieval buildings. The central area is pedestrian friendly and has everything you need in terms of shopping. The castle was closed while we were there.Guest review byMARCUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We stayed 4 nights. We had visited this town previously and this time were still able to find places to visit and enjoy. We also had several easy and interesting bike rides along the Blavet and the Canal Nantes-Brest. I would be happy to live thereGuest review byGaeAustralia

The cottage was well equipped for all our needs,modern cooking facilities and bathroom. Lovely outdoor areas and garden. There's a trail (10 mins)just outside the door that leads to the town and joins the canal Brest- Lorient route. Shopping is quite near however you would need transport. Lidl supermarket is just 5mins drive. The area is an ancient country village with just a few houses and a large Church with a few wooded trails nearby.Guest review byKaydesIreland

We used on street parking, which was safe and plentiful in the area. The hotel owners were friendly and helpful, providing useful information on restaurants and attractions. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was newly fitted with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was buffet style and included jomd made yoghurt and cake.
