This is an extremely charming and peaceful estate with very tasteful decorations in the spacious and comfortable rooms. The gardens are a delight as is the food that is prepared with elegance and love by the hosts. The property is situated in a wonderful, peaceful rural village that has a great community spirit and yet is conveniently located for so much exploration being close to the A16 route from Calais to Paris.

I loved the pull down bed it gave us so much space. There was a microwave and a kettle and a fridge and a coffee machine so we could easily make breakfast lunch and dinner. It was right in the centre of town. The host was so easy to communicate with. You can put your bicycle in the hallway.

    Kevin hosted us and was friendly, attentive and helpful.

    Kevin hosted us and was friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel is usually booked for large groups, weddings and conferences- we booked as 2 cyclists travelling from Dieppe to Paris via the Avenue Vert on the hottest day of the year and were treated with the same courtesy and respect as if we had booked the whole place. Our bikes were safely stored and were were provided with cold drinks and led to a room in the abbey to wait while our room was prepared as we had arrived early. The Abbey has thick stone walls and tiled floors and cooled us to a normal working body temperature. The grounds are just beautiful with tables and sofas to lounge on. We watched house martins swoop and as dusk came on were joined by the two Chateau Cats and watched the bats take over from the birds as the stars came out. I found this by chance but truly believe it is a hidden gem of a hotel and extremely reasonable budget wise. If you are cycling take a picnic dinner - beer is available - and eat in the beautiful setting. The hotel is not near (by bike) any shops or restaurants but you can order in pizza 🍕 Recommended!
