Nice place to stay with good quality rooms and a comfortable bed, I would certainly stay again if I was in the area. The breakfast needs to be improved though as its super basic with just two cereal types ( flakes or sugary granola with chocolate pieces ) and a nice croissant & bread / juice / coffee for 12 euros. I asked if there was anything else and the lady replied its a continental breakfast ( which I was already aware of ) but she did come out with a yogurt after her phone call. By offering some oats ( not everyone wants sugary cereal ), cheese / ham & boiled egg would really transform the offering and not cost the owners much more and make it worthwhile for guests, presently it doesn't represent value and in my opinion its not worth it. I didn't eat in the evening so I cannot comment about that. I am not out to give the owners a hard time, I think they are new to the place and clearly there making a real go at this, its a really good place to stay but with a few simple tweaks could make it perfect.

The location was absolutely stunning with Lac Bourget, the mountains and the vineyards in view! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The place was well equipped, with excellent WiFi and good local information provided. Lisa, the owner, couldn’t be more helpful. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we’ll certainly be back and will definitely recommend the place!

The proprietors were extremely helpful and nice after I rang from Culoz station reporting my late arrival due to a problem with my bike, driving me to the house. It was a real treat! On the following day the landlady, Genevieve, was kind enough to take me to Chanaz to find a bike repair shop.

Janick and Christel welcomed us into their beautiful home for four days. Set in gorgeous French countryside, our hosts provided our lovely bedroom with ample storage and bathroom attached. They welcomed us with drinks and we had two delicious homemade meals outside, enjoying the views and French conversation with other guests. Breakfast included fresh eggs and honey all produced by our kind hosts.Their home is well placed for access to the delights of Lac Bourget, Aix-les-Bains and other villages & beaches.     One of the really great thing about this location is the absence of tourists, Annecey is heaving with visitors so althought the place is quaintly pretty it is impossible to find parking, impossible to enjoy the lake and mountain views unless you call in at one of the villages around the lake shore and impossible not to get ripped as an unofficial "Tourist Tax" has been introduced . None of this is the case in the location, quite the opposite. There is a reasonable supermarket about 10 mins drive away that is more than enough for daily needs. For whatever reason Google Maps / Satnav systems keep trying to direct you down Cul de Sacs ( Impasses) , top tip? Ignore the macinnes and consult you map until you have got routes in/ routes out memorised.
