Very picturesque town plenty of bars and restaurants. Easy to walk around. Scenic riverside walk. If you are feeling energetic enough you can attempt the steep walk to the top of the old part of Saint-Flour (we made it halfway up could not complete the walk as we had a restaurant booked. Hotel is in a good location a short walk from the center of Saint-Flour. Ideal location for local bars and restaurants. Very close to the river that runs through the town. Parquet flooring, wood panelling and ornate ceilings throughout. Spacious rooms, kettle and very modern shower. Local produce for breakfast and a host who was local and so knowledgeable on the house and local area. Passed here many times on the motorway going south.
