SGLP is just a sleepy little village in the Limousin ... and...
SGLP is just a sleepy little village in the Limousin ... and that's a large part of its charm. Very friendly people, helpful, glad to see you. If you want a small-city fix, Aubusson is just 20-30 minutes away to the east, as is Bourganeuf to the west. And if you want an even bigger city, Clermont-Ferrand is about 90 minutes east. But SGLP is its own thing, and it's starting to be reclaimed as a spot to visit. Lots of expats live in the area and the number is growing (I'm one of the newbies). It's a great central location for day-trip travel to so many great places, yet it is completely crime-free and old-school. There is one B&B and two gites that I saw there (I stayed in the Maison Coubarien, a family-run and fairly new B&B). Beautiful bucolic area.Guest review byAshton
