The St Girons Saturday market was the reason why we stayed overnight on our way from a holiday in Spain. The market has to be one of the best in Occitanie. We had a good meal at a Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant, La Pagode, which we can recommend and there are a number of interesting retail shops which have stayed open despite the problems of the last few years.Guest review byJohnNew Zealand - 8.0

We were in France for a wedding in St Lizier, very happy we chose to stay in St Giron as it had a selection of restaurants in walking distance and was a good base to exlore the region. I am glad we had a hire car as was able to drive up to villages in the mountains. Saturday market was excellent. My husband had an accident in the afternoon and I had to take him to hospital in Saint Girons, the hotel staff were very kind and understanding that we arrived late and did everything they could to help. It was a lovely relaxing place to bring him to for the night and we returned for another night a couple of days later when we had to go back to the hospital.
