    It's a small little town, I wish I could have stay longer.

    It's a small little town, I wish I could have stay longer. It's a charming town, good people and store. Surrounded with some good vineyard just that I didn't manager to visit due to the time i have.

    Lovely walkable French Basque village in a gorgeous setting at the foot of the Pyrenees. History, culture, outdoor activities, great food and local products abound. Something for all ages and an opportunity to learn about the history of the Basque.

    It was a very pretty village/ Town in the mountains.

    It was a very pretty village/ Town in the mountains. Suitable for walkers with lovely cafe's and restaurants and useful supply base before starting the camino. Local people were very friendly and quirky as well. It is full of character and history.

    SJPDP is the traditional starting point for el Camino de Santiago's French route. You can feel all the positive energy and excitement from the Peregrinos at portas of their journey. Although the first stage from SJPDP, crossing the Pyrenees to Spain, is challenging the journey and the satisfaction of completing it is multiple times more rewarding and will remain as a memorable experience!     There is surely more to do and see in Saint Jean-Pied-de-Port than we had time for. The Hotel Ramuntcho was perfect in every way. We were in town only for one night before beginning the Camino, and we would have been delighted to stay longer had time allowed.

    Great family run hostel that we stayed at as our jumping off point for the Camino de Santiago. Within a block of the Pilgrim office. We were able to book a private room with two beds, shared bathroom. The staff (really the family), all very courteous, friendly, professional. Nice breakfast, in a shared room setting with other Pilgrims. Nice little cafes/restaurants nearby, appreciate the awesome recommendations.

    Outstanding Camino accommodation. Our host was so lovely, organised and helpful. Everything was absolutely spotless. The location is perfect - close enough to the Pilgrims office and an easy walk up from the station. Breakfast was the standout. It was plentiful and delicious.

    There were six of us in the party and we all loved the hotel and Catherine. The host was fantastic, friendly, funny, spoke great english and was very helpful. We look forward to visiting again.
