We like to fly into Nice and head to Saint Raphael as it’s a large coastal town with a harbour but smaller than Nice and beautiful promenade and many restaurants . I can swim in the sea everyday and grab the sun . It’s a lovely town . Very easy to grab a bus for day trips to other places or a train. We love heading to St Tropez for a day trip . A lovely bus trip . Cheap and great views of the coastline . Also Agay is beautiful resort . You could do Cannes . I’m not sure as regards nightlife as we are are here to relax . There is a harbour and yachts aplenty . So there are options to indulge in sea/ water activities . There is a Monoprix supermarket on same street as large church and few minutes into front of train station . Various Pharmacies . (Important to note that as of this year you cannot purchase strong painkillers from a pharmacy in France . It’s by presciption only . So if you need or require some ensure you take them with you .) .great boulangeries and cheesemongers . There’s also a fruit , veg , Fish market worth a visit . Saint Raphael is all walkable and I spotted many visitors who were wheelchair users . So access appears to be good here . They should have bicycles to rent close to the tourismo centre We walked 40minutes to a bike rent given by the tourism Got there to a house with noboby after phoning and telling us they are there. This was time wasted with nobody there and had to ealk back 40mintes. If you are tourist inclined, get the people with renting bikes or scooters closer to the centre or tourism office. It only makes sense doesnt it? Overall the French should brush up on their English and not be so rude. The past is the past.English is an international language.France was not a good experience. The French attitude are unacceptable and this we heard from other travelers at the train station from America,Scotland, Poland.We are South Africans. They are abrupt, not helpfull and a stink attitude st the train stations,Taxis etc which leaves a bad taste. A lovely location for a holiday or a short break.If you want to see the sights car hire probably would be recommended. We arrived by train which was very crowded so maybe a taxi transfer would have been more comfortable. Also someone on the train attempted to steal my purse from my handbag, however they were unsuccessful. Safe, gated parking space, elevator (the apartment is on a third floor), amazingly quiet considering the heavy traffic in Saint Raphael, situated just accross the beach. So close to everything, but so peaceful and nice. I almost forgot, you'll have a spacious balcony with a sea view! Just great! Six people can easily fit in.
