Really nice and spacious suite, decorated with attention to detail. There was amble dresser/closet space and everything was clean and newly renovated. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow for us to sit in the beautiful outdoor area towards the back. The breakfast was amazing, with homemade yogurt, crepes, fresh bread and eggs made to order etc.

The location of the apartment was in the centre of Sainte-Mere-Eglise only minutes walk from the town square, local shops, restaurants and bars. The town is small and easy to walk around. The major tourist attractions are all only a few minutes walk from the apartment. There is free on street parking outside the apartment, but not always available. The town square has plenty of free parking and is only a few minutes walk away. I had considered this might be an issue when I booked, but it turned out to be simple. The apartment has a good kitchenette, dining area & sitting room, which doubles as a bedroom if you choose to use the sofa bed. There is a separate bedroom with comfortable double bed. This room has a window with exterior roller shutter which is electrically operated and can be closed to make the room dark, which is ideal for those that want to sleep longer. The bathroom is small but functional with shower cubicle. It was well decorated and clean. For two people, the apartment is an ideal size.

What an amazing place to stay !! The location is perfect for visiting the town, you’re right in the middle of it. There’s off road parking too which is great because most would travel here by car. Plenty of beds and places to sleep and very clean.

Just the right size for us - stopping before the ferry, very clean, great shower and comfy bed. Good off street parking and a nice breakfast in sunny conservatory. Cheerful host ! Town is beautiful.

    Quite honestly, I was drawn to Saint Mere Eglise because it was the station point for a D-Day tour my dad and I had booked. I had no clue the charm and history of this little town! The food was great everywhere we went, the museum was incredible, the people were so, so kind, the list goes on! This is definitely a hidden gem of Normandy. We visited Utah Beach on our tour, and it was packed tight with tourists. After hearing other people's experiences in Normandy, I was so glad we stayed in such a quaint town. 11/10 -- exceeded our expectations.

    I was unaware when booking the room that this town played a major part in the history of the D-Day landings. The American Airborne museum is in the heart of the town and it’s a stones throw from Utah beach and the Azeville Battery. Perfect start for a tour of the beaches.

    Pretty little town close to many WW2 sites of interest. Visited Utah Beach and the Airborne Museum. Also took time to visit a German War Cemetery at la Cambe - very different to the British, American and Canadian ones. Not far from Cherbourg either if you are catching a ferry.

    I liked the location.

    I liked the location. Walking around the town was enjoyable with lots of choices of restaurants. I sat out on the patio and it was very peaceful. The location was excellent- close to the D Day beaches.

    This town is fantastic and we will be going back.

    This town is fantastic and we will be going back. We only planned a day, then, we extended another day. Very peaceful. What a history this town has to offer and the people that live and work there are wonderful. The food was exceptional. Things close early, so if you are going to the beaches, make sure you get to town early enough for dinner. You can walk to town and a short drive to all the beaches and museums. La-liberation is a small pub with good food. The stores are great for military stuff and souvenirs. Don’t miss this town if you are headed for Normandy.

    Great hotel just off the centre of the main town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The auberge is quaint and rustic, just what we were hoping for. The room was comfortable and had a great shower (once we worked out how to use it!!) Breakfast was simple continental style, but very tasty with great coffee. We were allowed to park our motorcycles in the courtyard under cover and out of sight which was a great bonus.

    I really like the fact that the proerty was in the town square and opposite the church, the owner recommened a restaurant, two minutes walk from the hotel, we enjoyed our meal so much, went back the following night. The owner of the hotel was friendly and helpful, very pleased. Would definitely stay again.
