Hit Salers on a bank holiday weekend so it was very crowded...
Hit Salers on a bank holiday weekend so it was very crowded and full of bikers and hells angels. Parking v tricky so we were lucky to be staying at La Grange just on the edge of town. Salers is quite an unspoilt medieval town with shops and restaurants. Fantastic views towards Puy Violent and Puy Mary across wonderful verdant landscape and with beautiful wildflower meadows.Guest review byHilaryUnited Kingdom

The room was spacious and conveniently located on the first floor with great views acrosss the auvergne; The evening meal was of high quality and very generous, questioning the need for a breakfast in the morning. The room had an old fashioned style but was comfortably furnished. Due to a mix-up we were moved down to a 1st floor room which we preferred to the smaller one ( already occupied) on the 2nd!
