Nice enough town with a nice Chateau.

Nice enough town with a nice Chateau. However mostly closed and emopty. the biggest problem was the local men who got drunk in the sport bar every night, then sat in the burger bar, which was great apart from these drunks, they desperatly tried to insult anyone, including the staff and finally by talking abuse to us about our mothers, tried to pick a fight with us because we were English. But the bars and cafe owners continued to serve them with Pastis despite their behaviour. I have lived in france for 6 years now and I have never encountered such impolite idiots as these before, but it will be enough to stop me returning.

We have friends that live in the village if for some reason we are unable to stay with them we stay at this hotel. This is the third time we’ve stayed there and find it an excellent short stay accommodation , very clean ,good staff, and fair choice of breakfast food ,altogether value for money

It looks like a lovely town: with very picturesque medieval castle and Gothic church and lovely alleyways with old houses. But the town seems pretty dead... Almost all businesses have closed up... Lots of signs saying they are up for sale... Strange feeling... There's a very large supermarket where you can get absolutely everything you need - I wondered if this had contributed to the closing down of all the small businesses... But I was also told there's no one to take up the business when the original owners get too old to carry on... Rather sad...
