We very much appreciated how well this place full of history was being kept and taken care of. Our room exceeded our expectations and the breakfast basket in front of the door was a great idea. The breakfast was one of the nicest we had in France and the fact that you could have a picnic in the terrace and enjoy the view while having breakfast was a nice surprise. The host and his wife were lovely and super hospitable. Tonnerre is a sleepy little town, so if you like a peaceful atmosphere it's a perfect base for trips in the area. Tonnerre is a gem, a diamond in the rough.
