The access to the hotel by car was easy and the hotel parking was plentiful. In the past we were able to bring our own wine and pay corkage but this year we were told to drink it in our room. We got up and left and went to another restaurant. The restaurant is within the grounds of the hotel but seems to be managed by a different person to the hotel owner.Guest review bywilliam - 6.0

I didn't find much there - the photo of Vierzon is it really - I was expecting a bit more of an 'old town' perhaps like Tours, or le Mans, but I don't think any of that is here. But Vierzon is very close to the autoroute, and so if you're just passing through, it makes for a good overnight stop if all you want is a bed for the night and a meal - I found a good Italian restaurant literally a few steps from the hotel. We chose the location as a suitable stopping point on a journey from Bergerac to Calais, rather than any specific attraction of Vierzon. It is a fairly typical French provincial town, with no special attractions of its own, and has perhaps seen better times. However the host explained that it is a good base for visiting more significant towns in the area, such as Bourges. Only one pillow, asked for another several times, eventually got a small one with no case. Hairdryer was supposed to be available but not in room. Asked several times but it never appeared. Vierzon is an old industrial town which is a little tired and I was not sure how safe I felt. The tractor museum was excellent with keen friendly staff. Hotel situated about a kilometre off the motorway, so exceptionally easy access. Reception staff are there from early morning to 22.00 hours. Key access and door code if after 22.00h. Restaurant on site in different building within hotel garden, with outdoor seating. Parking free. Breakfast is self-service and Covid-aware with staff on hand to advise.
