This place was perfection in every way! Our beautiful host Louise was so attentive and made sure we had everything. We even extended our stay! The accommodation was super clean and the extensive gardens so peaceful! So happy we found this place.

Lovely quiet location, very clean and recently decorated. Spacious room and bathroom. Plenty of towels etc. Good fresh baked goods for simple breakfast. Very good coffee machine in room.

The location was incredible. The lake is beautiful. There are lovely dogs and a very cute goat. The owner was friendly and liked to chat — while some guests might enjoy that, I personally would have preferred a bit more space. The place is clean and tidy.

    Villeneuve-sur-Alier is in the middle of the Bourbonais Castle area, surrounded by very large and famous castles. The city itself does not offer much and is actually run down. Not far away (13 km) is Moulins, which is a beautiful and very lively city with a magnificent center.

    A fantastic find. Conveniently located off the N7, the hotel is in a lovely quiet setting overlooking the river. The owners are friendly and helpful eg a cup of tea and a beer and biscuits when we arrived. The bedroom is small but comfortable with a good shower and lots of hot water. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast with a variety of breads, fresh orange juice, decent coffee and cereals.

    We loved the homely feeling and warm aspect of the hotel. The owners were exceptionally friendly and offered a great ambience. We loved the food as it was sourced locally and prepared with care. We will definitely visit again.
