Vireux-Wallerand was a beautiful town situated on a gorgeous river where there are plenty of walks available. It is a great base to travel all around the Ardennes region be it France or Belgium. Lovely little village on the river. Very peaceful. Friendly locals. Had a great experience at C'Taky bowling bar, karaoke night was fab! The local Friterie du rivage was great for a kebab! Lovely walk to the Camp Romain, fantastic views. An equally lovely walk to Hierges (or you can drive), very picturesque medieval village. Loads to do nearby, Terrealtitude was great for the teens! Spent a whole day there, was brilliant. Grottes de Neptune also great. Dinant in Belgium. Day trip to Luxembourg. Excellent swimming pool with slides in Givet.Guest review byTracyUnited Kingdom
