    It was an experiment for us to join our cruise in Marseille using air travel. We stayed in Vitrolles due to late flight time, We now know that we could have taken a shuttle from the airport to Marseille Station which would have suited our plans much better.

    We enjoyed staying at two Holiday Inn Expresses to stay...

    We enjoyed staying at two Holiday Inn Expresses to stay close to the airport and one staying close to the St. Charles Train Station in Marseille. They were both well operated, and good for business and travelers. The St. Charles location could easily be a good location to get around Marseille. I am afraid I do not recommend the town which has trash issues. We did not find this anywhere else in France. The rail station had minimal seating, lots of trash all over the place and on the train lines. If you have to travel through Marseille, stay at the Holiday Inn Express

    A great location for us and nice and clean.

    A great location for us and nice and clean. We were disappointed to be placed in a handicapped room as neither of us is handicapped and we do not need that kind of facility, nor were we asked if we would like to stay in one. We find the "wet room" vs regular shower not to our liking which is our main negative. Plus, we would not want to deny any one who actually needed that facility which we were in and did not need. On the other hand, the breakfast area was open before 6 am which allowed us to have a quick breakfast before our shuttle was to pick us up for an early flight. The shuttle was on time and very helpful. All in all, good value but do need to work on room allocation satisfaction!!!

    Convenient and comfortable place to stay close to Marseilles...

    Convenient and comfortable place to stay close to Marseilles airport. Our room was clean and comfortable. Both the pool and the breakfast were excellent! The hotel shuttle bus was very efficient and picked us up from the airport and returned us promptly and pleasantly!

    When you need an evening and a night o ly, the experience...

    When you need an evening and a night o ly, the experience has to be immediate, there is not another dinner, another breafast, thrrefore you expect from a 4 stars hotel to deliver the best in tetms of commodities, good and service. This was not the case with us at least.

    The hotel was perfectly situated near the airport and the hotel shuttle was great. The front desk staff were very friendly as were the shuttle drivers - made us feel very welcome. Our flight out of Marseille was 8 hours after checkout, reception looked after our bags until we needed to go to the airport and we were able to use the hotel facilities (pool and areas around the pool is lovely) until that time too. Buffet breakfast was good too Thank you Holiday Inn

    We stayed here as just a pit stop for a flight the next morning, it was only 3.6 ish miles from the airport which was what we needed, although unfortunately our flight was delayed, we got in at 10 to 11 at night and although the hotel offers a free pick up and drop off they refused it at that time so we had to make our own way.

    The hotel had elements of a chain hotel but also some more quirky individual touches. Staff were friendly. Quite a good place to stay at Marseille airport. I arrived late after the shuttle had finished, so I ended up walking. The official route was 45 mins but by crossing a (quite busy) road it was only 25 minutes.

    Brilliant buffet breakfast, exceeded expectations. Delicious all round. Clean, modern hotel. Comfy beds. Polite and helpful staff. We were delayed by 3 hours and didn't check in until 3am and the reception staff were quick to respond to our emails updating them on our check in time.

    A nice basic airport hotel, good restaurant, conveniently close to the terminals. Navette starts at 5 a.m. but there is a clearly marked footpath starting just in front of the hotel taking you to the terminals in 10-15min. No problem if you do not have much luggage.
