Difficult to rate accurately as I didn't stay there. The hotel had heating problems and they had already arranged alternative accommodation. That said, the staff were excellent,. The parts of the hotel I saw were really nice. Obviously a place that's well run. (The alternative accommodation was fine too).

We had a sea view room, which gives a great view of the two capes (Gris Nez and Blanc Nez) and across the channel to the Kent coast. We had everything from bright sunshine to heavy rain, so we saw all the changes in the sky and the sea that brings. The location is very convenient to walk into Wissant centre or down to the fantastic beach. We have liked Wissant as a place to eat on the way back to the Eurotunnel for some years; this is the first time we have actually staid on the way out to France. The breakfast room was small but the choice was excellent. Parking is available. Prior to our visit the host was very careful to let us know how to enter the building; our room was available as early as 3pm, with an entry code - no need for a receptionist. We booked breakfast for the next morning.

    We have visited Wissant many times before for days out and...

    We have visited Wissant many times before for days out and decided to stay in Hotel Normandy for this trip. The hotel is friendly and traditionally French which we liked, we ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel and especially enjoyed the set menu at dinner. The hotel is just a short walk to the beach and convenient for nearby bars and restaurants, it has an outside bar and terrace. Market day is Thursday in Wissant and is worth a look. Wissant is not a traditional destination for British tourists, but it’s one of our favourite places as it’s less commerciallised than many more towns along the Opal Coast.

    Lovely, small town with plenty of amenities.

    Lovely, small town with plenty of amenities. Visited a restaurant near the tennis court and a bar close to the beach with friendly staff and lovely food and drinks. It’s a beautiful area and Wissant beach gives a great view of the two caps. I would love to go back and stay a bit longer.

    Been to Wissant before but this was the first time we stayed there. We enjoyed a 4 night break which is just enough. Only a few restaurants (recommend La Terrace and the Beach cafe/bar - good food friendly staff

    Not a good place to visit if you have a dog.

    Not a good place to visit if you have a dog. Banned from the beach and also the promenade along the top of the beach. Some bars and shops were friendly others not so. Seemed to have a lot of belgian and dutch travellers who were more welcome. My french isnt good but I did try. We went mid april and to be honest i dont think the 'season' had started yet . Half the shops not open and pretty much everything except the hotels shut down by 7pm.

    We loved the location of the hotel - absolutely fabulous. The whole team at the hotel who looked after us were excellent from when we checked in to when we checked out. The breakfast was great also.
