Friendly, helpful staff. We had a slight problem regarding the breakfast when we arrived which the staff manager resolved perfectly. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble.

A real treat to stay in a former hunting lodge, actually a manor home. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was perfectly adequate, and we enjoyed a drink in the bar the night before. With advance notice dinner can also be provided. Some of the decor is out of time and does not complement the history of the home, but this did not distract too much. There is nothing around the property in terms of shops or restaurants, but the location served our purpose as an overnight stop.

The house is beautiful and easy to find by the roadside. It boasts an excellent location, making it very convenient for self-driving trips. We stayed in the attic, and outside the window, there were a river and mountains—truly a room with a stunning view. There is a large green space by the river, creating a lovely atmosphere. The only minor downside is that there are many small flying insects that bite; the landlady kindly reminded us to keep the windows closed. The nights were very quiet, and the bedding was comfortable and clean. The landlady and her husband are extremely nice—they were warm, thoughtful, easy to communicate with, and knew how to maintain appropriate boundaries. They also have three lively little dogs. In the morning, the couple prepared a full Scottish breakfast for my family of three. It was so abundant that we couldn’t finish it all, and the best part is that it was included in the room rate, which was really a great deal. Before leaving, I offered to write a review on Booking.com after my trip, because this accommodation is indeed worth every penny. Currently, there aren’t many guests staying here. I suggest the owners list their property on more platforms, and I wish them more customers and a thriving business!

Everything about the chalet was perfect - it was sparkling clean, luxurious, modern, cosy, and so comfortable. We really wish we could've stayed for longer. We loved the super king sized bed as we had the most comfortable and restful sleep. The water pressure and temperature control in the shower was exceptional, and the private sauna was easy to get going and so relaxing. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need including premium and stylish appliances, quality kitchenware and a dishwasher. The location was accessible but secluded, it was so lovely being surrounded by nature. Check in was also easy and convenient with the lockbox. There were so many really thoughtful touches in the chalet, Lorna has really considered it all and we really appreciated the attention to detail to everything. We loved the design and functionality of the chalet - one of the best places we've ever stayed and we'd love to return in future!

An overnight quick stay before taking ferry from Ullapool. Set in a quiet and scenic area, a classic busy hotel with many rooms, long corridors and gigantic public bar areas. I had a lovely single room with a full sized bathroom. Everything about my stay was perfect, especially the overnight reception staff. I slept well and sadly left before breakfast. I’ll stay again rather than in much busier and more expensive Inverness. Lots of Scottish clan info and classic Scottish images and souvenirs. More used to coach parties, they made room for me at a great and affordable rate.
