Spacious and very comfortable room with a wonderful tub. I'll definitely stay again if in the area. Also enjoyed the warmth of the pub and had one of the best pies I've ever had at the restaurant. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay ! The B&B is well located to discover the different places in Dorset. Dorchester is only a few minutes drive where you can find a lot of different restaurants options. Ellie also recommended a few pubs in the nearby towns which was really nice. Ellie and Emilia were both super nice. The breakfast options were varied and you could choose each day different variation of eggs, juices, toasts. There was always compotes or fruits with different choices of cereals and yoghurts. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything you needed, including tea/coffee and even biscuits. There is also an area with sofas where you can relax / read and a stove which makes it very cosy. Ellie was also available for any questions or recommendations for places to visit. We would be happy to come back in the future.

    Matthew, the proprietor, was extremely welcoming and attentive. His humorous and open style of hosting was perfectly suited to the nature of our visit; to joyfully but quietly celebrate a significant birthday for one of the family (all adults). The rooms were beautifully furnished and the beds were extremely comfortable. Fresh-smelling, simple, eco-friendly toiletries and big, fluffy towels. Good shower. Dinner was excellent; varied menu with really top-notch 'proper chef' cooking. Prawn starter was 'to die for'! Breakfast was also terrific. (Noticed that this was also cooked by the chef). Usual breakfast offer but extremely good local ingredients beautifully cooked. Good coffee. My husband and I had visited before several years ago. The wonderful old features and gorgeous setting of the (proper) pub were even better than we remembered!
