I have been coming to Strattons for many years, and while the restaurant and courtyard cafe have closed for want of staff it still is a great experience for those who want a comfortable base to explore the surrounding area. It does seems as if the present owners since 1990 will be selling up so go while it is still in their hands.

Great host, Great breakfast: Good choice, quickly served and very nice, choice of evening meal was not too broad (which I think is a good thing) and hit the spot. Comfortable bed, in the bathroom the shower head could do with being higher.

A beautiful property with decor reminiscent of an antique shop or museum - lots of interesting things In cabinets and on the walls! The host met us on arrival and was very kind and friendly. Can recommend the Beijing Diner for dinner too!

Beautiful grounds surrounding the property Very high standard of finish to the building with every utensil you would ever need Everything very clean and fresh Definitely 5star quality We really enjoyed our stay convenient location as a base to explore the country side and local towns Very good selection of local pubs for evening dining and socialising But a wow factor when returning back to the property with the impact of the grounds and the quality of the property which was bright large and comfortable Made this break outstanding and very relaxing

    The whole stay was positive.

    The whole stay was positive. Friendly welcome, clean tidy and comfortable double room with modern shower room. Plenty of coffee and tea etc, hairdryer, TV all newish and working. Good breakfast with lots of choices, all freshly cooked to order. Cheerful and friendly staff. Busy pub with live music. We enjoyed it all
