FAQs about hotels in Bath

Roman Ruins and Georgian Grandeur

Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.

Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.

Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.

North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.

Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

This city is definitely worth visiting.

This city is definitely worth visiting. It’s full of history, exceptional architecture and a restaurant scene that rivals much bigger cities. You would need more than 2 days to comfortably see the major cites.

Loads of eateries covering all price ranges.

Loads of eateries covering all price ranges. Loads of bookshops and the usual supermarkets. The 2.30mins free walks (info by the entrance to the Roman bath) are just fab. The guides are specialists and are extremely passionate. The Jane Austen and Herschel museum are wonderful. The Skyline walk is long but well worth it. Just walk around and immerse yourself in what Bath has to offer.

Everything about this property had the wow factor. The staff were all lovely, the property itself was fabulous and so well presented. Comfy beds and fabulous shower Breakfast was wonderful It is difficult finding places with parking so this was a bonus having spaces outside. It is located at the top of a hill so if you have mobility issues maybe not the best place for you although there are buses that run up and down the hill We chose to walk, it’s only a wee 10 minute walk into Bath city centre

The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room offered everything you could need, more so than some larger more costly hotels. The staff were awesome. Thanks Tom, Claire, Gi-Gi and Sue. They couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The food/bar facilities were great. Free parking. Transport into the City Centre by bus was right outside the hotel and was just few minutes ride away. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the beautiful City of Bath.

It was a very nice stay! My partner and I were in Bath for a short work visit, stayed in Apex hotel and had a lovely time there. The room was spatious and clean. I think, there were not many people at the hotel at the moment, we didn't hear any noises. We also visited spa and enjoyed it, was really quite and peaceful (winter travels are the best).
