The owners are kind and helpful, the breakfast was generous and made with good quality ingredients, and the room was very comfortable and filled with tasty treats that are included in the price. Nice amenities and good location, better than being in the bustle of Aviemore if you're looking for a quiet retreat.

The Highland getaway was amazing..very much 5 star.. had things we didn't think we needed! The attention to detail was above and beyond. Even dressing gowns and slippers. Beds were super comfy. Shower was powerfully and hot. And cooking facility was spot on. The kids loved the freedom of the park with forest walks across the road. And steam train within 5 mins walk.. no WiFi was not a problem for us. But there was no connection.

+Great, spacious room in high standard with comfortable bed. +Supportive and helpful staff. +The view wasn't the greatest, as the hotel on the other side was covering some part of lovely Cairngorms landscape, but overall, the location, the quality of the room was exceeding expectations. If I'll reach Aviemore once again, I will definitely book the place once again!

Dalrachney Lodge is wonderful! Steve and Tracy are very personable and caring hosts. We stayed in the superior king room for one night, and it was truly lovely. The bed was comfortable, the furniture was beautiful, and the bathroom exceeded my expectations. They provided a delectable made-to-order breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend staying here, and look forward to staying with these caring hosts in the future! Steve even gave us recommendations of places to stop along our journey that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. We stopped at the bridge in Carrbridge, House of Bruar and the falls behind it, and Hettie's in Pitlochry and loved all of these recommendations!

Lovely hotel with excellent restaurant and pub. Bed, breakfast, concert in the pub - everything was perfect. Nice receptionist - very helpful - gave u informations about how to get around Aviemore.

    Boat of Garten is a small village which has some good features and services, including a pub, a village store, pizza shop, art gallery and historic railway station. It is well located in relation to forest walks and other outdoor activities. For any significant shopping you needs to travel nearby Aviemore, 4.5 miles away. We preferred the peace and quiet of Boat of Garten for our stay in the area.

    We stayed at the caravan on a self catering basis The caravan was very well equipped with all the necessary items needed for a short stay break The site was nice and quiet and situated within easy reach of the towns amenities and lovely rural walks Our break at Boat of Garten was only a few days long so we did not get much time to explore more of thd beautiful countryside

    Lovely little village, idyllic scenery.

    Lovely little village, idyllic scenery. Great location for nearby attractions and not as busy and touristy as nearby Aviemore. Next time I visit I will definitely consider again and stay a little longer to explore.

    Boat of Garten is just a small village in the Scottish...

    Boat of Garten is just a small village in the Scottish Highlands there is a nice little restaurant 50yds away which serves excellent meals and a carry out fresh made Pizza facility, there is also a nice hotel about 400m away which serves excellent meals, well situated for the Osprey viewing observatory, close to Landmark adventure park, and not far from Aviemore highland resort.

    Owners where welcoming friendly the room was big and big bathroom with shower they supplied towels hair conditioner shampoo body wash a hair dryer there was coffee tea hot chocolate biscuits supplied by was adequate bedding n linen the breakfast was nice would go back if was in area

    Charming hotel, lots of character, very friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable beds, fantastic food in the restaurant. Really good location for exploring the area. We fitted in zip lining and quad biking at Alvie and the Highland Wildlife Park at Kingussie. This hotel was a lovely relaxing base to return to.

    Lovely stay in Boat of Garten. Easy drive to the property, and quick walk to the closest restaurant! The room was well equipped, quiet and clean, the bed was cozy and some home bakes were waiting for us on arrival. Great breakfast and lovely hosts.

    Nice caravan and well equipped. A very nice and quiet area with woodland walks opposite. 10 min drive from Aviemore. 45 min drive from Inverness. We used the area as a base and explored the Highlands.
