EVERYTHING! The staff, decorating/style, warm welcome and warm rooms. Fireplaces. FOOD! The grounds. I arrived with an injured foot and was met with concern and given a ground floor room. Could not fault this place and it’s my favourite place so far. We will be back!

Clean, spacious and quiet rooms with a well-stocked bar set and soap, body lotion and soft towels for the bathroom, hairdryer. En-suite bathroom with deluxe shower. Restaurant with magnificent view of the beach. Professional and very courteous staff. Great food. Continental breakfast with great buttered croissants and excellent Scottish breakfast. The full breakfast is recommended to start the day with energy. List of wines, beers and whiskeys to accompany good times in company. Parking available for guests. It deserves all your time to spend a pleasant holiday.

The Tongue Hotel was a welcome oasis after a long day of driving through dreary weather along the NC500. Good sied and well appointed room. Enjoyed a drink at the bar before an excellent dinner in the evening, followed by a nicely prepared full Scottish breakfast the next morning. Also, I inadvertently left behind an article of clothing that the hotel staff returned to me by prepaid post soon after my stay.

    We decided to do the NC500 starting from Inverness after a wedding then stayed in Ullapool with Borgia Lodge Hotel the second night and via John O’ Groats Dingwall then down to Callender and home. The best location, accommodation, food and value for money was Borgie.

    The whole experience was excellent.

    The whole experience was excellent. The owners were very attentive and talked about the Hotel they bought 2 years ago and what they have done since. They have created a wonderful atmosphere within the Hotel and during the close season are working on developments to improve the Hotel still further. I have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to anyone.

    We loved staying at the Borgie Lodge Hotel.

    We loved staying at the Borgie Lodge Hotel. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, they had a drying wall for our motorcycle gear and a shed for the bikes to sleep in so we started out warm and dry in the morning. The food was spectacular and the environment was amazing. We definitely recommend staying here!

    On the whole the accommodation was warm and staff were friendly and welcoming. The only issue I would say was that two of the rooms we had no hot water for the second person in each of the two rooms.

    This is a charming hotel in a serene country setting.

    This is a charming hotel in a serene country setting. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The food is delicious with generous portions. Andi is friendly, helpful and funny and shared some of the history of the hotel with us. Wonderful place in every way.
