The Lodge was located in a quiet lane not far from Bridgnorth township. It had two outdoor areas had all the facilities you would expect in your own home, including a clothes line and off street parking. It was clean, well heated and modern. We only spent a few days there but it would have been a great place to stay for a longer time.

A very cosy, cute place, with lots of history. Lots of little cafes and pubs, especially liked the local bookshop. The Bridgenorth Cliff Railway was a highlight, so quaint and fun! Highly recommend a visit to the place.

A charming town with a superb selection of good pubs, interesting shops and wonderful music venues. I recommend the terrace of Violets café for a good breakfast with great views, the courtyard of the old castle in for an excellent pint if it rains and the antique centre by the Northgate for picking up curios and interesting bargains

A charming town with plenty of very old buildings. A one way system to deal with a myriad of narrow streets. A delightful Furnicular to take people from High town to Low town. A lovely caravan park 5 miles outside the town, for those who chose not to use the comfy hotels.A wonderful variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. A great experience of historical England, with all necessary modern conveniences.

Bridgenorth is a lovely town with loads of restaurants and pubs on a hill with great views. It has a Victorian funicular railway which connects the old town on the hill where the castle ruin is to the newer part lower down by the river.

The pub is in a great location in the High Town, close to the shops, the castle and the cliff top railway station. The staff and the locals are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Each room has an allocated parking space at the back of the pub, which we really appreciated. The home cooked breakfast was delicious.

Clean room, spacious, large bed, lovely staff, dog friendly. Breakfast was nice but wish there was fruit offered. Basic soap and shower/shampoo wash provided, shower cap, tea and coffee, and hairdryer. About 15 minute walk to town centre. Easier to walk to town than pay for parking in centre.

We loved staying in such a quirky ancient building, so bound up in the history of Bridgnorth. The location is special being on the Severn and close to the High Town, an easy walk away either up the Cart Way or the steps alongside the funicular railway.
