A traditional British seaside town with plenty to do. The fish restaurant capital of the world. South beach is amazing and the town has everything you need. Bridlington is our favourite location come here every year. The people are great and so friendly. Good variety of shops and restaurants to suit all budgets. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council are simply the best and together with the SPA make a fantastic venue for our darts event every year. Great people to work with, nothing is too much trouble. We chose Bridlington as it's reasonably flat and we both suffer from fatigue. There's a couple of little "trains", one for the North shore and one from the south shore, a great way to enjoy the coast. Flamborough Head and Filey are a short drive away. Bridlington was a flat place so no trouble for older or disabled people walking around. It has a railway station and a great flower display in that station. I enjoyed walking around the shops and good fish and chips . Nice frontage near the sea with a long walk and luckily had sunshine. Enjoyed my time there as a pensioner and lots of friendly people. I went to the Regent bingo hall in the evenings as its somewhere a single traveller can do. Train trip to Scarborough for half a day so plenty of places around Bridlington if you want to travel.
