From Brunel to Banksy!
Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol features Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the Avon River. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbor, where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.
Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I registered historic Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St. Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centers at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.
As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.
Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artist Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodations, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.
This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath rail line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

I normally study in London so I am sadly used to homeless people on the streets but somehow the Bristol ones were more threatening. Passing through from the airport to Temple Meads station,...
Passing through from the airport to Temple Meads station, the airport is awful, being rebuilt round the passengers. The buses were on strike, and the bus waiting area was a scrum. Airport employees didn't give a toss. The bus route into Bristol from the airport goes through some very dodgy areas. Train station is a dump, badly signposted and with erroneous information on the destination screens. Train out to Worcester was overcrowded and too hot, with passengers obliged to sit on the floor outside the toilets. I hope never to return to Bristol, its airport or its railway station, and the GWR train I was forced to travel on was an absolute disgrace.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

A wonderful city full of hidden treasures. We went to Clifton to walk along the Suspension Bridge and meandered into the Centre and Harbourside via the museum and Park Street then to the famous Llandoger Trow. I booked three rooms for a family wedding weekend at another venue. One of the rooms was dirty bins not emptied sheets not changed water pouring through the tiles in the shower. The room was unusable and should not have been booked for use. The other two rooms were satisfactory and the staff were very good. But I have had £300 taken out of my bank account for no apparent reason. I cannot get hold of the hotel either by telephone or email to make a complaint and ask for my money to be returned to my bank account. I am so frustrated and annoyed That there is no verbal way I can get in contact with them. I would like my £300 to be paid back into my account as soon as possible. And also extremely close to Clifton Suspension bridge (an easy walk). Got the no. 8 bus from Bristol Temple Meads to right outside the hotel. The bus stop on the opposite side of the road takes you back down the hill to the city centre and back to the station. It only took me 20 minutes to walk into the centre from the hotel. We weren’t at all disappointed with anything while we stayed there. We both slept well, the beds and room was lovely, comfortable, clean and warm. The shower was great too. We weren’t very impressed and happy with the breakfast also, it filled us up for the rest of the day.
