Hotel is very dated and not at all complementing to traveller of 2025, it is stood still in time of 1970's. Beautiful building and equally horrendous the facilties provided in the room. We came for the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Festival, but it is a wonderful centre for hikers as well with a beautiful park. Helps if you like hills! The bathroom had lovely shampoo, shower gel and even conditioner (which is rare in hotels). The facilities included in the price are amazing, and there are so many extras you can pay for its difficult to choose. Its right in the centre of Buxton and very easy to find. It is in a beatiful location overlooking the Pavilion Gardens and within close walking distance to Buxton Opera House and all the other amenities Buxton has to offer. It provides an excellent choice of breakfast served directly to your table. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and we always enjoy a very relaxed stay here.
