CanadaThe room was very clean and the staff was very nice. They let us store our bags after check out so we could go see the castle which was very appreciated!! It was very close to a lot of wonderful local restaurants and had one on-site as well. It was an absolute pleasure staying here.

The town is steeped in history, is a fantastic location, and an ideal base for wider exploration of Snowdonia . My interest was in the little steam trains of Wales, of which there are an abundance within easy reach by car from Caernarfon. I choose the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways, but during the summer, there are several others including the Snowdon Mountain Railway, the Llanberis Lake Railway. If you are prepared to venture further afield, to the south is the Talyllyn railway near Barmouth, the Fairbourne Railway, also near Barmouth and a bit further south at Aberystwyth, the Vale of Rheidol Railway, all of which I highly recommend.Guest review byWg_Cdr_Andy_ThomsonUnited Kingdom - 10.0
