The ducks at the lake are magical! I would advise to stay if you are planning on discovering Cornwall for the first time! Great time to getaway! Kay was a lovely host, and pleasant. It is a small place but an excellent centre for exploring Cornwall and Plymouth. We were impressed by how friendly the locals were. We laughed a lot and chatted to everyone we met including the post person, a local builder, staff in the two pubs in which we ate and shop assistants. We had some entertaining conversations. As a holiday cottage, No1 Manorcombe was small and could have been better equipped (see longer review). Callington and the Tamar Valley are gorgeous and packed with family friendly activities, (from archery and canoeing to the fabulous Eden project). We would definitely come back to the Tamar valley, and perhaps even to Hornicombe Manor Holiday Village but if we did, we would be careful to book one of the larger, better appointed and better equipped chalets.Guest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Nice area, nice view but only if you’re in the right lodge . Nice indoor and outdoor pools, the pub on site serves pub fare food but was good.
