    I can't really comment as most of my time is taken up with meetings and I have very little time to tour the area. There's always a cracking meal to be had at the Oyster Fleet and a nice Pint to wash it down with.

    Variety of shops, markets, cafes, restraunts and choice of food. Pubs, entertainment venues. Parking for disabled excellent. Scenic walks. Ease of access to most places for disabled people. Other seaside towns a stones throw away, definitely visiting again.

    There's a good selection of shops and places to eat while you're out. There's some nice walks. And the people are so helpful. The Island Cafe is a good place for those watching their spending.

    I was visiting Canvey Island in order to attend a meeting.

    I was visiting Canvey Island in order to attend a meeting. I didn't get to go sight seeing so cannot comment. I can certainly recommend the Conservative Club for fine ale, lovely food and perfect company. The staff are marvalous.

    Unfortunately, there isn’t much to like.

    Unfortunately, there isn’t much to like. The bar / restaurant was OK, but WiFi was not available in that area and was poor and very slow. In the bedroom the tv was on a unit that was lower than the bed, very unusual. All the electrical appliances had out of date PAC test dates, especially the extension lead!!

    Canvey Island is a quiet place with many retired people and tradesmen in white vans. The location itself was quiet and you're 10 minutes' walk from Concorde beach. Most of the pictures on TripAdvisor were selective to say the least as trying to find a sandy beach (and no rocks, gravel and shells do not count) was hard. The only sandy beach is in Shoeburyness East and Shoeburyness common in Southend-On-Sea approximately 40 minutes drive away, but even those the sea was miles from the coastline for you to be able to venture into it. A little disappointing to be honest and the murky weather over the 3-days we were there didn't help much.
