Handy for many of the more touristy places and probably cheaper! A very good selection of shops and eateries. If you are not used to narrow roads do NOT attempt going across country to places like Cardigan....B roads??? I don't think so 🤦🏼!!! Aberglasney.... unmissable, a must visit garden

    A beautiful part of Wales.

A beautiful part of Wales. Stunning scenery looked at its best in the May sunshine. Visited Aberglasney which are well worth seeing. Give yourself time to wander around a beautiful restored garden with a great cafe. NT Dynfwr was a very different visit, less formal gardens and an interesting house with emphasis on the below stairs life in a country house.

The town itself seems to be on a down, although it was our first time there for many years and it is a good central location amid nice countryside and attractions if you don't want/need to be actually on the coast. Streets were a bit rowdy on the Saturday night we stayed, but that's not so unusual these days, sadly.

As my wife was attending a concert at the (very) nearby Lyric Theatre for an evening performance this was a first class location, right in the middle of town. Hotel was very clean and our room was well presented with absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Everything we wanted and needed for our one night stay. Staff that I dealt with were welcoming and polite, breakfast (included) was very good. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, and if and when we come back to Carmarthen, it will be where we choose to stay.

Such a lovely place, very quick and easy to find, plenty of space to park, safe for kids as not near any busy roads and private, super friendly baby cows in a paddock just outside, the cottage is really comfortable, slept very well in this bed! The homemade breakfasts far exceed anything you have in a hotel, Marion is such a lovely host, I'd be very happy to stay here on my own as it feels very safe and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!

The Boars Head really is a nice little place to stay. Staff are so friendly, my room (no10) was immaculate, in fact the whole hotel is really lovely & clean. Breakfast was included and was delicious, portion size was big and nothing was too much trouble for the waitresses. 10/10 will definitely stay again

I had some concerns after reading some reviews. Yes it is a pub and there is no reception but it was a great place to stay. I heard no nose at night trim the pub. And it was a good experience being in a welsh pub watching Wales win a match in the rugby cup. Food was very good. Staff very nice

The room was spacious and accessible. The bed was fairly comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. There was plenty of parking at the hotel and it was a very short walk to the town centre.
