We really appreciated the milk and the cereals and the eggs and tea and hot chocolate and coffee that were provided. The place was quaint cute quiet private and exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. I will stay again one day but longer. My son and I are both authors and it was a perfect spot to write and a perfect setting! We enjoyed a campfire two nights in a row.

The host was so gracious and friendly - and provided us the keys, herself. Place was pristine clean and lovely - inside, it was superbly furnished with modern and complete amenities. Decorations and indoor plants delightfully added flair and warmth to the entire apartment. The patio outside overlooking the green fields was perfect to just sit peacefully, have coffee and relax. Thanks Fleur for a short but very wonderful stay!

    The place was utter perfection.

    The place was utter perfection. Pat and Rowena's design sensibilities throughout the Old Library were exceptional. And then to be greeted by peacocks in the morning, in this idyllic location..it was the perfect end to a three week trip. The walk into Castle Combe was delightful-I had thought the village would be the highlight, but I have to say my accommodations for the evening rivalled even the lovely town..

    Castle Combe is a stunning village with a lovely stream running through the centre. The ancient houses are all different and the village is set in a deep valley. Without the tourists it is perfect. Try to avoid peak times. Maybe visit in the evening or early morning. Our favourite place to stay, if we can afford it, is the Manor House Hotel. Expensive but absolutely perfect!! Try to have lunch at the Castle Inn, this belongs to the Manor but is more affordable.

    Castle Combe is a quaint little village but there’s only one place to buy things and it’s out of a lady’s house - she has nice things for sale. The village has two places to eat plus one lady puts out goodies for a couple of hours on an honour system type idea but other than that there’s really nothing else open. It’s a really cute little town but I wouldn’t go there for any other thing except to see it and meander thru the streets

    It was a beautiful village with two lovely pubs to get pissed as farts in. Good grub in them pubs too. The village was so clean snd well kept we would have felt comfortable sleeping on the streets there.. was truly beautiful.

    Castle Combe is beautiful and small.

    Castle Combe is beautiful and small. We ended up doing a 3 mile circular walk which was great. The buildings are very pretty but it is such a small village you won't be there for long if that is all you have come to see and if the weather is bad, you will struggle to find many indoor alternatives. Having said that, the coffee at The Stables was good and the pre-ordered picnic was very tasty and as I said, the village itself is very pretty.

    The hotel and the surrounding area are well worth the trip.

    The hotel and the surrounding area are well worth the trip. We stayed in one of the cottages which was renovated to and excellent standard maintaining original features. The gardens are interesting. I declined to be shown to the cottage but would recommend being taken to the one given as the allocated one was not obvious.

    What a wonderful little house! So nice to make a cup of tea and sit in a sofa and really feel at home :) The host were super helpful and the location is really private. If ur taking a car on a trailer it’s a squeeze! I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a larger truck or trailer!! But great location for castle Combe
