I was born in Chertsey but haven't had much time to revisit all of the lovely open walking and cycling routes close to the town centre. The history of the long gone Abbey and museum are fascinating around the vicinity of the Crown Hotel. I would recommend Abbey Grounds, Chertsey River walks and the Meads for lovely walks and parks. Great walks by the Thames.
Great walks by the Thames. Watched boats go through the lock and waved to boat owners. Good taxi service. Close to Woking for shopping (,great centre) as well as theatre and cinema also in shopping centre. Car parking rather confusing though.Guest review byMARGARET
