Wow, amazing facility. Old world charm and comfort. The staff went out of their way at every turn. If I wasn’t just passing through I’d have to say another night just to enjoy the crown as it was. Thank you, highly recommend and so affordable. If I could I’d be back tomorrow.

    A quiet Dorset village, close to lots of other places to...

    A quiet Dorset village, close to lots of other places to visit. Swanage, Studland, Dorchester, Sherbourne, Shaftesbury, Monkey world, the tank museum, to name a few. The countryside is stunning, there are some lovely shops, the coast is beautiful with clean sea. We also ate at The Saxon Arms a 1/2 mile walk from the apartment, very nice food, a bit pricey but worth it. Excellent service too.

    Basically, we like everything.

    Basically, we like everything. Plenty of interesting places to go (we particularly enjoyed the natural history of the area), and, although a bit windy in places, the roads were well maintained (roadworks were scarce) and far better than the ones in Kent!! A handy, well stocked shop was close by and a 'pop up' fish and chip/burger bar appeared outside the house on a couple of evenings. Good fare at the adjacent pub (Baker Arms) and. for the more energetic, plenty of local walks, including Hambledon Hill, with it's ancient earthworks. Plenty to see in nearby towns, and although a bit of a journey sometimes, the scenery was very varied, and interesting, and not a motorway in sight! All-in-all an excellent base for a Dorset Holiday
