We took our dog and had an ideal room opening onto the enclosed residents’ garden. She was made welcome by all the staff. Wonderful location for walking and we followed one of the hotel’s suggested circular routes …sunny day and sensational Autumn woods and spectacular views from the South Downs Sun at. Sloping ceilings give character but also a head bumping !The copper bath was lovely to look at but deep and not easy to sit in and get out of .The shower was fine however with no curtain it took a bit of care not to flood the floor .Maybe not an issue for younger folk .
