Cleethorpes is our go to holiday destination to keep the kids (5+10) entertained for days on end. The road train and the little steam trains are a highlight for the kids. The paddling pool is also very nice for when the tide if too far out and the kids can play there for hours. Feeding the ducks and playing in the giant sand pit playground is also great. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants around town as well as fast food restaurants. We expected Cleethorpes to be slightly upmarket with nice cafes and restaurants. We did NOT expect Cleethorpes to be run down worse than Blackpool. It was very very busy with the overweight and tattooed masses which was surprising because there was very little to actually do. It was sad to see so many shuttered and closed businesses but all the chippies had queues outside It needs a good clean and a few coats of paint. I've not been to cleethorpes since I was a child and now...
I've not been to cleethorpes since I was a child and now I've returned with my children and will be returning again.. If you get the weather on your side you'll have a lovely time 🌞 We visited the leisure centre, ate food from the food stalls along the sea front, ate fish and chips in papas on the pier, played in the amusements and had doughnuts and ice cream from Julie's in the sea front and love it all! ♥️Guest review byRimmington - 8.0

Cleethorpes is a good place for spending time with family especially with children.Reasonable prices,lots of entertainment and activities.Close to train station.Variety of food option available. I was only able to stay one night & didn’t really have time to explore more. The sandy beach was perfect for my young nephew and there seemed to be some great restaurants.
