I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. This is not an unbiased opinion! I used to live and work in Crewe, and still make regular visits. It is an excellent base for travel in all directions, and so ideal for touring holidays, especially using train services. But the town has suffered from the delays and partial cancellation of the "High Speed 2" rail line, and changes prompted by the break up of British Rail. Rail House, the 12 storey office block by the station, is now a derelict eyesore although I understand that Cheshire East Council is endeavouring to address this.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 4.0
There is absolutely nothing of value in Crewe.

I liked everything.

I love the amazing architecture, and the feel of the old hall is so lovely. The Staff are always very friendly, the hotel is spotless, and it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking, with delicious food. Very comfy Beds and very quiet rooms, blackout curtains in the twin room we were in. There is plenty of outside space.
