I was pleasantly surprised by the genuine warmth of the Darlington people. The food at local restaurants was very good as was the atmosphere in the local pubs. I loved it.

Darlington has a lot to offer, all be it like many towns it has suffered in recent years from the decline of the high street. That said there has been a lot of investment in the town centre. What I liked most was the atmosphere and the homely feeling. I loved the garden and all the artwork around the house. The bed was supremely comfortable and I had a lovely bath too. The location is excellent for airport and motorway network and the restaurant round the corner was nice. The hosts are very friendly and amenable and the check-in is no fuss. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom very clean as well. Every day I was provided with clean towels and the staff made sure the room was clean. The hotel has a nice bar with a cool atmosphere and a pool table. It's very close to the Darlington town centre, and very close to many choices for food and drinks.
