Very spacious room with lovely furnishings and a small kitchen. Great shower and comfortable bed. Quiet despite being central. Right next to the Beatrix Potter Garden, only 3min drive to Dunkeld and a 10min walk to the Birnam Oak.

A warm welcome always awaits at the Grandtully. This is our 3rd visit, to celebrate another birthday. We just love everything about this hotel, the tasteful decor, the food, the staff, we arrived in the midst of Storm Babet, and late for our dinner reservation and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. After a 4 hour journey we were ready for a good meal, the food is incredible, the menu is seasonal and all the ingredients locally sourced. With only 8 rooms this place is very special with wonderful friendly staff and personal service.

The attention to detail and the way the house was brought back to life while maintaining all its characteristics was truly enjoyable. The dinner at the restaurant is part of the experience. We wish we could have stayed more. Out of all the hotels we’ve used during our holiday in Scotland (same price rage), this was the best.

    Property was fabulous. Lovely rooms and staff. Breakfast was the best with lots of options. Dinner needs changing up with specials for dinner and dessert. Was same menu every day. Room was a bit stuffy. Need portable fans. We had a window that opened but did not really help. Swimming pool and spa was lovely. Staff was amazing. Shout out to Annia who found a tick on my leg during a massage. No idea wher it came from as i stayed on the path.

    It is an extremelly picturesque and in parts quaint town!

    It is an extremelly picturesque and in parts quaint town! It does have its own railway station, and a very good bus service! The Hermitage is a MUST SEE! In Burnam, (Mentioned in Macbeth) the walks are superb through the Glen, and the Beatrix Potter gardens are a must see also.

    Very charming place.

    Very charming place. Cathederal set in lovely grounds and still being used during the big renovations. Several lovely cafe's/pubs. Parking an issue when it is busy which is generally any nice day

    Beautiful location. Verdant with lovely river views. The town also has some interesting shops, including Jeffrey’s, the art gallery and the vintage shop. A small gem of a town. Also very handy for Perth, Aberfeldy, etc.

    Lovely little town.

    Lovely little town. Walked around the hermitage which is very well maintained and makes a nice walk. Villagers were all very friendly in Dunkeld, especially Arran Bakery. Nice wee near garden in Taybank hotel too. Beautiful walk along the bank.

    Dunkeld and Birnam are very picturesque little towns.

    Dunkeld and Birnam are very picturesque little towns. There are beautiful walks along the riverbank. The cathedral and grounds are worth a visit. If exploring the surrounding areas Kinclaven woods has the most spectacular display of bluebells at this time of year. Great music scene to be appreciated. Limited eateries open on a Monday evening. Good quality but expensive fare in those that are open. Granny Blacks tearoom worth a visit during daytime.

    I have stayed before and this time was just as brilliant. Really the best breakfast ever, I just wish I could eat more :-) Great room with a comfortable bed and an excellent, warm welcome. I've stayed in a number of hotels & B&B's around the UK and this really is the best. Free parking is a bonus these days. The location is ideal too for walks (Birnam Beeches, The Hermitage and into Dunkeld) and the railway station is less than 10 minutes walk so I hopped on a train to Inverness to enjoy the scenery.

    The location - dunkeld village lovely, the surroundings of the hotel - the trees, the river are all beautiful. Food was very very good at dinner. Drinks good choice - but no Edradour whisky! Really nice and friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Clean and tidy throughout the hotel. Nicely aired hotel and not too hot and stuffy throughout like a lot of others. Views of gardens / river from front rooms and restaurant lovely. Outdoor drinks with view of river on a sunny day really nice!

    It was ideal as I blew out my tyre and ended up staying in Dunkeld for the night. The room was lovely. They accepted dogs so that was a blessing as it was unexpected for us to be staying there. The gentleman in the bar was lovely. We ate food at the hotel too. This was lovely.

    What an amazing place. The town is lovely, the hotel is amazing, full of details, amazing staff, incredible food. We spent some days traveling around Scotland and for sure, Dunkeld is a most and the taybank was our favourite hotel for the entire journey!!

    The hotel was beautifully located in the middle of little Dunkeld and most importantly the staff at the hotel were hugely accommodating. The photos perhaps don't do the place justice because they were very spacious and had lots of utilities.
