Lovely place with absolutely great hosts who create an unique and friendly atmosphere, they are very communicative and will help with anything they can Breakfast was delicious and freshly made The room was bigger than I expected, with 2 beds and a little desk, spacious bathroom with great products Views are absolutely magnificent, at night the sky full of stars and the hills during the day WiFi was free and of high speed, no problem with watching 4K movies

What a beautiful, stunning and secluded location, looking out to a sea of stars in a cosy hot tub. Equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a fab fire pit with logs provided and even an outdoor kitchen The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! I could not recommend this place enough, will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for an amazing time

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful location over the Christmas period. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, greeting us upon arrival with tea, coffee and mince pies. Much appreciated after a long drive. The cooked breakfast was the perfect size for us and I can especially recommend the home-made jam on hot buttered toast. All served with plenty of lovely hot coffee and tea.

Plas Esgair is magnificent, to say the least. Every detail tells a story. We were absolutely gutted that we booked only one night and had to leave. This place deserves a longer stay, long strolls around property, long evenings with crackling fireplace and long look around. Every room is unique, comfortable. Hosts are absolutely AMAZING. Dinner was delicious, wine was a vibe and breakfast was great! If old artwork, antiques, candles and warm welcome is your thing - we cannot recommend this place enough. We even got some route suggestions for our further plans, took them and gasped as we drove through the most beautiful roads of Wales! 🤍 THANK you, Martin!🤍

    Dylife is a very isolated village

    Dylife is a very isolated village located near Hafren forest. Didn't visit village so have no idea what is there. The Star (Y Star) sits on its own on the mountainside and offers excellent accommodation and food, which is important especially for long distance walkers who break their journey for a needy stay. Nearby Llyn Clywedog (reservoir) is especially beautiful. Old lead mine near dam worth visiting. Plenty of walks and places to stop for a picnic. No night life, just peaceful.
