    Heating had been left on for our arrival so lovely warm lodge. A lot of effort had been made to light up the grounds for Christmas and with the peacocks wandering around and the hooting of an owl even the weather couldn’t dampen our walk around the grounds too much. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night, food good and friendly helpful staff. The lodge itself feels very new and there is lots of equipment in the kitchen.

    We stayed in a two bedroomed lodge in the hotel grounds which had self catering facilities, 2 bathrooms, TV and a balcony with lovely views of the valley. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. The hotel was about 6 miles from Looe which was a beautiful seaside town.

    The pictures on Booking.com were as close as we got as the hotel called us on the afternoon we were supposed to check in and camcelled as they had another longer booking

    Really nice hotel/pub. The Lad on Reception was very pleasant. Room was very clean and warm, and the shower was good.
