Lovely Hotel, 400 years old and lots of character, very friendly, regular bus service to Lockerbie, Annan, Gretna and Carlisle. We had a great adventure. Hotel was very friendly and we loved our stay. The food was good pub grub and the hotel was lovely as was the room. We had a beautiful on suite. A big comfy bed. However above all that the staff were all lovely, friemdly and helpful. A minor problem when we first arrived was dealt with superbly. I feel that it is when something goes wrong and their reaction to it differentiates the excellent from the very good.
