We stayed one night for my brother's wedding. We booked two rooms, one for my partner and I, and one for my two older teens, who did not want to share a double bed. And though it was a bit of a faff, we got a camp bed into their room, which was wonderful. What was really a very short overseas trip turned out to be a gorgeous, relaxing stay. Breakfast was delicious, staff friendly and accommodating. The place is a delight. Thank you x

Booked this hotel last minute because our flight was canceled at the last moment. London was too far to go back to because we had an early flight in the morning again. Wanted to end the nice weekend with a nice hotel. And that it was indeed! Beautiful surroundings, beautiful hotel. Would never of thought of it - used to staying in London - but this is definitely something to keep in mind for the next visit. Beautiful rooms, good service.

Great value for money. Amazing staff. Spacious room, comfy beds, modern interiors. Bar operating 24/7 (food included). Convienent location, close to the train station, 20min to the Heathrow airport (15min by car). Great stay. I would definitely go back, so I recommend.

    We loved the actual hotel.

    We loved the actual hotel. Redolent with memories of a past age it has been modernised discreetly and caters to every comfort. Set in spectacular grounds and including a spa and heated outdoor swimming pool, time just flies here. The food is delicious and very varied. The whole experience is set off by the staff: friendly, attentive and extremely pleasant. We shall certainly be returning to this delightful hotel.

    Apart from Winsor and Hampson Court not much locally unless going into London,which we didn't want to do.But it chilling out and using spa great for a short break. I imagine amazing for a wedding or special occasion.

    It's a university town, what can one say?

    It's a university town, what can one say? The nice thing is that it is small and actually quiet. There are a couple of nice restaurants and all the necessary shops. The train is convenient if you have to go to a bigger town for some shopping or you're on your way to London.

    Egham is an excellent base for visits.

    Egham is an excellent base for visits. Website tends to send people London bound and misses the wonderful Runnymede Meadows, Windsor Great Park, Savill Gardens, Virginia Water and Windsor itself, also Heathrow if you are interested in that. Always recommend Savill Garden and the wonderful freedom of Windsor Great Park. Bar 163 in the High Street offers good menu. Also a good base for several sporting events inc. RFU Twickenham etc,

    I loved walking through Runnymede & seeing some of the Magna...

    I loved walking through Runnymede & seeing some of the Magna Carta monuments. Mostly I wanted to see Writ in Water but I enjoyed others too https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/runnymede/features/turner-prize-winning-artist-to-create-new-work-to-celebrate-magna-carta There are marked paths taking you across fields, along the river Thames and in ancient woodland.

    We was only there as our daughter was graduating at royal Holloway university. The planes are constant but you are next door to Heathrow. Lively town center Plenty of places to eat and drink We recommend bray marina restaurant beautiful location on the river just outside of egham. The crown pub was excellent Would definitely stay a little further away from Heathrow only due to noise. Virginia waters amazing and free apart from parking £3.00 an hour.

    The boat was quite nice and a change from a boring hotel room. The owner was a really kind and really lovely woman and I cannot fault her hospitality one bit. Her dogs were so gorgeous and friendly..I would have loved them in the boat😃 The local curry house wAS THE BEST curry I've actually ever eaten. They let us take home the leftovers . The bottle of bucks fizz was a sweet touch. Thanks for letting us stay in your boat as I imagine it is difficult having complete strangers coming and going every day on tour property.
