A lovely old pub in the centre of the very beautiful old village of Eyam. Parking at the back. We had a very comfortable room. The evening meal was exceptional: both the tuna and the lamb were beautiful, and and the two of us shared the most amazing summer pudding, which we’ll never forget. It was outstanding. The waitress, whose name I didn’t get, was so pleasant and great at her job. Highly recommended.

Eyam has a long and well documented history which it displays throughout the village, telling the story of the village self-isolating during the plague in the 17th century. It's a good tale even if some of it is now considered to be embellished for the tourists but worth visiting and exploring nonetheless. If you stay in the village you'll find it much less busy in the evening when the day trippers have departed. It's largely picturesque and mostly unspoilt, has a decent pub, the Miners Arms, good local walks, and a bus service to Bakewell and Sheffield. There's a useful small general store and a fruit and veg shop that has intermittent opening times so I don't know what it's like. Eyam is a good base for exploring the Peak District.

Eyam is a very pretty and really interesting village, with plaques on houses which are relevant to the history of the village relating to the plague. They have a museum that also tells the story of how the village was affected by the plague, which unfortunately wasn't open due to time of year. The village pub (The Miners Arms) is a very charming pub with an excellent choice of drinks. They also serve food, which we would definately recommend.

The cottage was very cosy and well-equipped, a proper home from home. The hosts were very kind and I was made to feel very welcome, and valued as a customer. The cottage is situated in the centre of the beautiful village of Eyam. It was in a very quiet location. I was able to access the owner's beautiful garden. The hosts provided extras such as free-range eggs from their own hens, fresh flowers, and milk and cereals. They were very thoughtful. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a very relaxing break.

Beautiful cottage stylishly decorated. 3 good sized bedrooms very comfortable beds, with good quality bedding. The host Jonathan kept us very well informed of all we needed to know. We loved the welcome pack. The property is well positioned in the beautiful village 2 mins walk to Miners Arms which is a great pub. We stayed to attend a wedding at Eyam Hall which is 10 min walk. We would 100% stay here again if in the area.

Bed & bedding were super comfy. Pub/restaurant was absolutely fabulous, food & service were amazing. Highly recommend a stay here & we'll definitely be back.
