Farnham is nice and connected to Chawton House nearby, which is a great place to visit. The Revd Henry Austen brother of Jane was effectively the vicar of Farnham from 1822-1827. The Sculpture Park which is next to the Bel and Dragon is a remarkable location and well worth the visit. There’s some 10 acres of grounds within which there are an astonishing number and large variety of sculptures. Farnham is a lovely town with lots of coffee shops and restaurants to choose from, as well as plenty of shops to look around. It's a very pretty place with a good range of green space and parks to explore. There's lots of interesting history too, with old buildings and architecture to discover. The location is excellent. The hotel is down a small country lane next to a very attractive large pond and it is very quiet area.
