An interesting cinema/theatre and a good range of shops and eating places. An interesting history of events. We liked the path along the coast, we just had a bit of a problem figuring out a hike for the kids, i.e. 6-10 km. We used a bus from Dinas Cross once to get back from the trip (beware, it doesn't run on Sundays). Fishguard has world-beating coastal walks and views; ideal for droning. It is a quiet, small town, brimming with cultural assets, e.g. the Last Invasion Tapestry, Folk at the Oak every Tuesday, Goodwick Harbour, Lower Town (used for at least two films), Theatr Gwawn and varied eating options. It's a great base location for exploring the area.
It's a great base location for exploring the area. There's plenty of nice coastal walks that are only a short drive away. The town itself is quite small but still has plenty to offer. There's history with the fort and last invasion gallery, the lower town is very cute and you're spoiled for choice with food and drink - lots of very good quality cafes, restaurants and pubs.Guest review byBenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

In Fishguard to take ferry to Ireland so didn't see much of it. Looks a nice coastal town but obviously the ferry port overwhelms the town. If using the ferry services directions are clear and plenty of space to park and wait if arrive early. It is spacious and very comfortable. Loved the bath and how great to have 2 showers. The kitchen facilities were great (although a sieve and pizza cutter would be handy.
