Access was very easy and comfortable. Though there are no private parking spaces available at the accomodation. Enough suitable public parking is available close by. The rooms were spacious and clean and the location right next to the canal is to die for.

We were upgraded to a double from 2 single beds at no extra charge and no fuss. Manager was very helpful and showed us a lovely clean room with great clean bathroom. Entire place was spotless. The location was excellent. The attached Chinese restaurant was one of the best I've ever eaten in and I've eaten in many.

The Pod itself was a whole new experience for us. The interiors were smartly planned out and sophisticated to ensure maximum comfort in the space. The location was just calm and superb with views of the highlands. It was just a 2 minute drive to the city-center.     Beautiful scenery. Brilliant trips on the Loch Ness Cruises. Plenty of places to visit. Plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, gift shops. Fascinating watching the boats going up and down the series of locks. It certainly was not a disappointment.

    The local pubs are excellent for food and drink and the Loch boat tour (Cruise Loch Ness) is a must. Gorgeous little city, great for a 2 or 3 night stay. DelightfulNess is great for lunch and the Lock Inn does a brilliant dinner.

    Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness.

    Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness. It's quite in the mornings and evenings but gets very busy over day with day tourists by the bus load. Our accommodation was not on the main road, so we hardly noticed the other tourists. Great place for day touring to all four directions as we did.

    Fort Augustus definately worth a visit although gets very busy with tourists. We appreciated slightly quieter places with less people around. There are a few places to eat out and would recommend the Chinese food at the Richmond House Hotel where we were staying. A couple of pubs too which are right on the canal and providing a welcome rest

    Lovely wee village on the canal and loch, nice pubs some lovely shops and overall very nice place! Easy to walk around from central car park, if driving through watch out for the swing bridge, although it doesn’t take long to operate and is interesting to watch!

    A good range of dining and things to do.

    A good range of dining and things to do. Prices are a bit high but expected. Most things are within a short walk of anywhere, and there are many scenic views as we were surrounded by hills and bodies of water. Most shops close 6-8 pm but we found 1 restaurant serving food until 9pm and another serving until 9:30pm. There is one petrol station which also has a gift shop and a mini grocery store and pharmacy. Monster Fish and Chips was excellent!!!! Highly recommend it! We did not try the Chinese restaurant as it had mixed reviews lol

    The property is located in the center of Fort Augustus, 2 mins walk to Loch Ness. The room is in a 3 floor villa and is provided with a private bathroom, which was clean and comfortable. Room size was good and the bed was comfortable. Good breakfast was provided on the ground floor. On-site free parking was also available at the villa. We stayed only one night as it was only for a stopover purpose on our road trip but the property was suitable for longer stays. I'd stay at this property again.

    The Old Croft is a stunning cottage in a beautiful setting. We have travelled to a lot of places around Scotland and we both agreed that the Old Croft is exceptional and outstanding. Situated near to Fort Augustus town centre, the Old Croft is a cosy house which was perfect for our weekend. The inside is beautiful and very comfortable. Couldn't recommend more highly!

    Continental breakfast was excellent on both days of our stay. Location in Fort Augustus was excellent - quiet but only 15 min walk from village centre Ample parking provided. Host (Sofia) very friendly and efficient Spacious bathroom which was vey well appointed
